Ellie Hiscock

Consulting Engineer

Ellie spent four years at Newcastle University where she studied a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering. Ellie joined FairHeat through the Graduate Scheme as a Graduate Engineer, with a keen interest in working within the sustainability sector and the opportunity to be involved in a relatively new industry that is rapidly expanding. She really enjoys being part of a team that aim to deliver innovative solutions along with the challenges this presents. With lots of responsibility given from the start over a diverse range of projects, she has already gained a good understanding of all areas of heat networks from design through to delivery. Ellie has recently been promoted to a Consulting Engineer.

As a Consulting Engineer, Ellie is working as part of the design team, helping to achieve cost saving solutions and deliver optimised heat networks for new build projects. Some of the work also involves going on site and carrying out acceptance testing, where she identifies dwelling level performance issues and ensures that the design criteria has been achieved.

The projects are challenging and exciting and FairHeat are providing me with the skillset and support that allow me to grow as an engineer and work towards decarbonising the UK".
