Joseph Shanley
Graduate Engineer
Joseph is a highly motivated Graduate Engineer who joined FairHeat's Graduate Scheme in 2022. He chose FairHeat as his first job because he wanted to make a meaningful contribution to society and be a part of the sustainability movement. Joseph's interest in the heat networks industry aligns well with FairHeat's outlook and aim to aid decarbonisation in the UK.
Joseph graduated from The University of Birmingham with a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering in 2022. Joseph gained valuable work experience during his summer internship with Carillion, where he helped with the construction of a smart motorway in Manchester. His final year research project involved dissolution testing within an advanced in vitro model of the human proximal colon, in collaboration with AstraZeneca. Joseph's work experience at Carillion was recognized as part of the Alfred McAlpine scholarship he received during his sixth form studies.
