Peter Horne

Lead Engineer

Pete joined FairHeat from the University of Sheffield after graduating with a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering with Nuclear Technology in 2018. During his degree, he gained experience with Polypipe, which developed his understanding and interest in pipe network heat loss reduction to help move to a more efficient/ renewable mode of energy delivery.

Pete has helped to maximise heat network efficiency across numerous sites through analysis of HIU performance data, HIU acceptance testing and reviewing the operation of functional heat networks.  He has also helped to develop a water quality testing regime for multiple sites to provide suitable protection against corrosion and bacterial growth.
