Becky Yi Hui Loh
Graduate Engineer
Becky (Yi Hui Loh) joined FairHeat as a Graduate Engineer in 2025. Becky holds a Bachelor’s degree from University College London (UCL) and a Master’s degree from the University of Cambridge. During her studies, Becky’s research focused on microbially induced calcium precipitation (MICP), exploring its application in sustainable engineering and carbon-related processes.
Alongside her academic work, Becky gained industry experience through internships at SEaB Energy and Tokamak Energy. At SEaB Energy, she was involved in small-scale anaerobic digestion systems, contributing to work related to waste-to-energy solutions and on-site resource recovery. At Tokamak Energy, she supported work on fusion energy technologies, gaining exposure to advanced energy systems and research-led engineering environments.
Becky joined FairHeat with a strong interest in the role of heat networks in delivering low-carbon heating solutions. Since joining, Becky has worked across a range of projects supporting the design, analysis, and delivery of heat network schemes, contributing to both technical assessments and wider decarbonisation strategies.
"Heat networks play a critical role in the UK’s transition to low-carbon energy. I’m motivated by the opportunity to combine rigorous engineering with practical delivery, ensuring these systems perform efficiently, reliably, and deliver real value in decarbonising the built environment."
