Colbie Harris

Consulting Engineer

Colbie joined FairHeat as a Graduate Engineer in 2023. He graduated with a first-class MEng in Environmental Engineering from the University of Nottingham in 2023, where he distinguished himself through both academic excellence and practical contributions.

Prior to joining FairHeat, Colbie gained experience working for two years at a low carbon consultancy as a Renewable Energy Consultant. In this role, he co-produced feasibility studies and investment-grade proposals for low-carbon process heating systems, including the utilisation of waste wood and high-temperature heat pumps for steam applications. His work also involved designing biomass plant rooms and small district networks.

As a Consulting engineer, Colbie has worked on numerous technical reports for private and public bodies, providing actionable performance improvement and compliance recommendations on communal and district heating systems. He is working towards Engineering Chartership status.

"I was aware of FairHeat from my previous role, and they stood out to me as not only possessing unmatched technical knowledge of heat networks, but as a disruptor driving change in the heat network industry. Since joining, I’ve enjoyed most being part of a knowledge sharing culture, as well as the ability to do both site and desk-based work."
