One of the pillars of FairHeat is growing future leaders of the industry. The FairHeat graduate Scheme is testament to our commitment in driving young engineering talent into the industry, supporting them, and creating an environment which they can grow and thrive!

We are proud that, since 2018, 14 young Engineers have been enrolled into the scheme and we have dedicated over 3800 hours internally into nurturing them.

2021 comes with a double celebration for the FairHeat team as our very own Lucy Sherburn, Graduate Engineer at FairHeat, is also being shortlisted for CIBSE ASHRAE Graduate Engineer of the Year.

In her short career, Lucy has already been involved in many initiatives. Within FairHeat, she has been an instrumental team members, contributing to research, collaborative team exercises and essential client engagements. In the wider industry, Lucy is involved in several industry groups, she is a CIBSE YEPG committee member, STEM ambassador, and during 2020 nominated as the secretariat of the BESA HIU Technical Committee.

Lucy has a passion for making the construction industry more attractive to women and young engineers, actively advocating for over the last two years from FairHeat’s platform and via external mediums.

Lucy is a fantastic ambassador for the profession, the team had no hesitation in nominating her, and are delighted that she has been recognised in the industry and shortlisted for this award!
