Ratiba joined FairHeat in 2020 and is now Commercial Manager within the Asset Management team. Since joining the business, she has played a key role in supporting FairHeat’s growth, developing commercial governance, procurement processes, and profitability structures that helped establish the company’s commercial foundations.
Ratiba has over 15 years of experience across the energy sector, combining a strong engineering background with extensive commercial expertise gained across oil and gas, offshore wind, and heat network infrastructure projects. Trained as a Mechanical Engineer, she also holds two MSc qualifications and has worked across the UK, EMEA, and West Africa.
Before and throughout her time at FairHeat, Ratiba built a diverse international career spanning upstream oil and gas, offshore wind, and heat networks. Her experience includes commercial management, contract administration, procurement, risk management, and stakeholder engagement across complex energy projects. She is also fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
As FairHeat expanded into project delivery, Ratiba transitioned into commercial management roles supporting the delivery of design-and-build contracts under NEC4 and JCT frameworks. During this time, she led contract negotiations, contract administration, and commercial management activities across a portfolio of projects.
Currently, as Commercial Manager within FairHeat’s Asset Management team, Ratiba is responsible for the commercial oversight of heat network assets, ensuring contracts, risks, and financial performance are effectively managed throughout the lifecycle of each asset. Drawing on her extensive engineering and commercial experience, she helps protect the interests of both FairHeat and its clients while supporting the long-term performance and success of low-carbon heat network infrastructure.
“Heat network asset management is a technically and commercially complex discipline. It requires managing long-term infrastructure, regulatory requirements, and multiple stakeholder interests simultaneously. At FairHeat we are building a commercial framework that ties contract management, risk oversight, and financial performance together in a way that gives our clients genuine confidence in how their assets are being managed. That's the work I find most interesting: building the commercial structures that make long-term asset performance predictable and sustainable.”
