FairHeat’s Principal Engineer, Mike Ridge, was announced as winner of the Young Engineer of the Year Award at this year’s Association for Decentralised Energy Awards.

Mike was recognised for his industry leading work at FairHeat delivering high performing, efficient heat networks and his contribution to improving industry technical standards.

Since he started his career on E.ON’s 2011 graduate scheme, Mike has quickly become a proven leader in the energy sector.

As Principal Engineer at FairHeat, Mike uses his technical expertise to develop market leading solutions in delivering the next generation of low temperature heat networks. At only 30, Mike is already recognised as an expert in the design and specification of heat networks, leading on schemes that are among the best performing in the country. He works to nurture young talent in the sector, helping to design FairHeat’s award winning graduate training programme.
