Andrew Reynolds

Principal Engineer

Andrew joined FairHeat in 2022 as a Lead Engineer, working on retrofit design, optimisation and quality assurance projects for existing heat networks.

Andrew has a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and obtained Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in 2021.Prior to joining FairHeat, Andrew worked for E.ON. He initially joined the Engineering Graduate Scheme, working across several sectors before settling in the District Heating division, where he worked in roles of increasing responsibility across the Operations and Maintenance business. In his final role, Andrew worked as a Senior Project Engineer, leading a team of engineers to deliver metering upgrade and performance improvement initiatives across 45 heat networks, with the aim of improving technical and financial performance, reducing carbon footprint, and improving customer experience.

Since January 2025, Andrew has led the Asset Management department, initially set up to stabilise failing heat networks, and then to improve performance, reliability and compliance through maintenance support and contract management.
