Charmaine Hong

Graduate Engineer

Charmaine Hong joined FairHeat as a Graduate Engineer in 2025. She graduated from Imperial College London with a first-class MEng in Chemical Engineering, where she developed a solid grounding in core engineering principles alongside a growing interest in sustainable energy systems and low-carbon infrastructure.

During her studies, she completed an internship at Imperial’s carbon capture pilot plant, where she supported control optimisation activities and contributed to risk mitigation within plant operations. This experience strengthened her practical understanding of process engineering and reinforced her interest in decarbonisation technologies.

Since joining FairHeat, Charmaine has gained experience from projects across multiple departments, including Quality Assurance, Optimisation, and Asset Management. This has enabled her to contribute to a diverse range of projects and gain exposure to each stage of a heat network’s lifecycle, supporting the delivery of efficient and high-quality energy solutions.

"I chose to join FairHeat because of its ongoing commitment to improving the UK’s heat network sector. I find it highly rewarding to be part of a company filled with industry leaders dedicated to delivering high-quality, efficient heat networks."
