Ellen Hassett
Senior Engineer
Ellen joined FairHeat in 2018 as a Graduate Engineer after completing an MEng in Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. She progressed through the Quality Assurance team, where she built extensive experience supporting heat network delivery from concept through to operation. During this time, she reviewed design, installation and commissioning processes across a wide range of systems, helping to identify risks and drive high quality outcomes.
Ellen is a Senior Engineer within FairHeat’s Building Systems Design team, delivering RIBA Stage 2-4 designs for the retrofit of heat networks in existing buildings.
Ellen is driven by a strong commitment to delivering meaningful impact through her work, from contributing to the decarbonisation of heat to improving the lived experience of building users. She enjoys collaborating with others who share a common vision to solve complex challenges and places strong emphasis on supporting and mentoring engineers.
"FairHeat gives me the opportunity to do work that genuinely matters, alongside people who care about getting it right and making a lasting difference."
