
Emma Tremellen
Consulting Engineer
Emma joined FairHeat for a summer internship in 2021. She excelled at the programme and was particularly recognised for her research on thermal storage sizing for single lead heat source based on real world data. Emma was offered a position to join FairHeat’s Graduate Scheme and joined the team in September 2022. During her time on the Graduate Scheme, Emma has been able to contribute to Operations and District Heating teams, gaining competence in acceptance testing, HIUs, site audits, performance reviews, performance diagnosis, gas boilers, pumps, and water quality.
Emma graduated from the University of Cambridge with a master’s in Chemical Engineering in 2022. During her time at university, Emma won the BP Prize for academic achievement on her coursework for designing a heat exchanger in second year. Emma also won the Gilbertson prize (specific to Jesus College) in her fourth year, in recognition of high performance.
Since being promoted to Consulting Engineer in 2024, Emma has been working in Quality Assurance, focusing on delivering good outcomes on complex new build and retrofit projects.Most recently she has been leading on getting the department ready for HNTAS.
