Felix Hallett

Graduate Engineer

Felix joined FairHeat in 2024 after earning a First-Class MEng in Chemical and Energy Engineering from the University of Leeds.

As part of his Masters research project, Felix modelled pathways to reduce emissions from polyethylene production, focusing on renewable feedstocks and low-carbon energy solutions for industrial heat and power. Before FairHeat, Felix worked within the Process Engineering team at Jacobs, supporting process safety activities and pipework analysis for a European lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility.

Felix initially joined FairHeat as part of the District Heating Design team, contributing to the early-stage design of large-scale district heating energy centres with capacities exceeding 40 MW. He has also worked in the Asset Management team, taking responsibility for O&M contract management and developing tools to monitor asset performance and assess operational risks across heat network portfolios.

"At FairHeat, I’m able to contribute to projects that support the transition to low-carbon heat while delivering meaningful improvements for heat network users. I’ve particularly enjoyed the collaborative and ambitious environment, as well as the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects that are helping to shape the future of heat networks in the UK, giving me the chance to apply my engineering skills to work that has a genuine long-term impact."
