Finn Oldfield

Graduate Engineer

Finn joined FairHeat in 2025 after completing a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge. During his studies, he completed a summer internship at IFF Haverhill, where he analysed process data from a perfume manufacturing plant and gained valuable insight into large-scale industrial operations and process optimisation.

His academic background provided a strong foundation in engineering principles, data analysis, problem-solving, and sustainable energy systems, equipping him with the technical skills required to support complex engineering projects.

Currently, at FairHeat, Finn works within the engineering team, supporting the delivery of heat network projects through technical analysis, system performance assessments, and engineering design activities. He works closely with colleagues across the business to develop practical, efficient solutions that contribute to the successful delivery and ongoing improvement of heat network systems.

"FairHeat's ethos is something really special, and I'm so happy to be a part of it early in my career. Support from my colleagues is second-to-none, meaning I've been able to develop so many varied skills in such a short time."
