Freddie Valletta

Associate Engineer

Freddie joined FairHeat from the University of Cambridge in 2016, following his Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. He is an Associate and Head of FairHeat’s Quality Assurance department.

Freddie oversees the delivery of QA and peer review services across heat network projects, spanning design, installation, commissioning and operation. He has played a key role in developing and implementing industry-leading QA processes, including Acceptance Testing, ensuring that heat networks are delivered in line with design intent and achieve high standards of performance for clients and residents. His work supports risk mitigation, improved system efficiency, and compliance with evolving industry standards.

Freddie remains passionate about communal heating and is committed to improving the performance of heat networks across the UK, reducing carbon emissions and enhancing resident outcomes. He is a Chartered Engineer with CIBSE and a qualified PRINCE2 Project Management Practitioner.
