Jake Adamson
Senior Engineer
Jake joined FairHeat as a Graduate Engineer in 2021, driven by a strong commitment to supporting the UK’s transition to low carbon heat. Jake graduated from the University of Nottingham with a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, following a year in industry within the energy sector.
Since joining the company, Jake has gained broad exposure across multiple departments, working closely with both the Design, Quality Assurance, and Industry Standards teams. His experience spans carrying out on site investigations, undertaking technical and detailed retrofit designs of energy systems, and contributing to the development of technical standards and client guidance. This cross departmental involvement has given him a well rounded understanding of the full lifecycle of heat networks — from early stage design through to operation and continuous improvement.
Jake particularly values the collaborative nature of FairHeat’s work, where engineering insight, innovation, and client engagement come together to deliver meaningful impact. His role continues to be shaped by a deep and earnest passion for decarbonisation and a desire to help raise industry standards through data driven engineering.
"Working at FairHeat since 2021 has been an exciting and fulfilling experience. I’ve been able to contribute to projects that push industry standards forward and deliver real value for clients and end users. The most rewarding part of my role is knowing that the work we do directly improves performance, efficiency, and comfort for people living in heat‑networked homes. FairHeat’s collaborative culture and commitment to excellence make it a great place to grow and make an impact."
