
James Gallimore
Associate Engineer
James joined FairHeat in 2017 after spending three years working for an EPC contractor in oil and gas industry and an engineering consultancy. He has played a key role in shaping FairHeat’s design processes, ensuring that early stage concepts are developed effectively into fully coordinated, construction ready designs. Throughout his time at FairHeat, James has led numerous retrofit projects across a range of building types, including residential and public sector buildings.
He is an Associate Engineer at FairHeat and leads the Building System Design department, and he is a Chartered Engineer with CIBSE.He oversees FairHeat’s skilled retrofit design teams, delivering comprehensive designs that enable buildings to cost‑effectively retrofit and optimise their heating and hot water systems. His teams core areas of focus are: (i) ensuring regulatory compliance; (ii) enhancing occupant experience including comfort, usability and cost-effectiveness; and (iii) supporting the transition to low to zero carbon heat.
He also has extensive experience in compliance and quality assurance roles within FairHeat, placing him in a strong position to ensure that the design specifications developed by his team are practical, technically sound and achieve project performance objectives.
