Keith Xuanyong Tay
Graduate Engineer
Keith joined FairHeat as a Graduate Engineer in 2025 after graduating from Imperial College London with a First-Class MEng in Chemical Engineering. During his studies, he was awarded the Governor’s Prize for being the undergraduate of greatest merit.
Keith gained industry experience with ExxonMobil as a Project Development Engineer, working on process optimisation at the Fawley Petrochemical and Manufacturing Complex. He also conducted research at Imperial College London’s Sustainable Gas Institute, assessing the life cycle and techno-economic feasibility of renewable synthetic fuel production, further developing his interest in decarbonisation.
Since joining FairHeat, Keith has worked within the Optimisation and Compliance team, delivering system reviews, optimisation studies, and portfolio assessments for housing associations and local authorities to improve heat network performance and support compliance with upcoming HNTAS requirements.
Keith also contributes to FairHeat’s Process Committee, supporting process improvements and internal efficiencies. As a Graduate Engineer, he helps deliver optimisation and compliance projects that support the decarbonisation and long-term performance of heat networks across the UK.
“The heat network sector has enormous growth potential in the UK, and being part of FairHeat allows me to contribute meaningfully to that journey: driving real change and unlocking greater opportunities for decarbonisation nationwide.”
