Kristina Calver
Consulting Engineer
Kristina joined FairHeat as a Graduate Engineer in 2023 after graduating from the University of Cambridge with a BA and MEng in Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology.
During her studies, she gained practical engineering experience through an internship at Caeli Nova, where she designed and carried out experiments to improve the usability of oxygen safety masks for aerospace and medical applications. Her academic achievements were recognised with the Sir Francis Goldsmid Scholarship from Girton College for overall academic excellence.
Since joining FairHeat, Kristina has worked across the Compliance, District Heating, and Building Systems Design teams, contributing to heat network optimisation, building connection designs, and city-scale heat network projects, including developments of historical significance.
Kristina now works within the Industry Standards team, supporting the development of materials ahead of the HNTAS launch and helping to review industry feedback on draft heat network code documents.
"I first heard about heat networks through a presentation by FairHeat at my university. I was intrigued by district heating as a means of heat distribution which was not yet in the university curriculum but seemed to have huge potential for large scale impact. I enjoy applying theory with the practical side of the role."
