Maleh Andela

Graduate Engineer

Maleh joined FairHeat as a Graduate Engineer in 2026 after graduating with First-Class honours in Mechanical Engineering (MEng) from the University of Bath.

He undertook a year-long industrial placement at Monodraught, a low-carbon ventilation consultancy, where he led a project to redesign one of their main ventilation units, achieving a substantial cost reduction and performance increase. Maleh gained valuable design and project management skills throughout the year which he has taken into his role at FairHeat.

Maleh also led the new Human-Powered vehicle team at University, where they went from being founded to participating in the World Championships in only 6 months! His final year project was a feasibility study into designing a new district heat network in Bath, which has set him up well for the role at FairHeat.

"I joined FairHeat full time after a summer internship, where I was able to see first-hand the fantastic work being done by a team of brilliant engineers at FairHeat. I was originally drawn to FairHeat due to their major role in the heat network decarbonisation industry, as well as their industry leading research and contribution to the Government drive for a much larger proportion of UK heating being supplied by heat networks by 2050."
