Niall Dixon-Payne

Niall joined FairHeat as a Project Manager in 2024, bringing with him over a decade of experience in the district heating sector. Niall holds a MEng in Mechanical Engineering with Renewable Energy from the University of Edinburgh and has recently completed chartership with the IMechE.

Niall has a broad range of skills and experience having worked in the district heating sector for over 10 years. Prior to joining FairHeat Niall worked as a district heating consultant at Ramboll working on a wide variety of projects. Whilst at Ramboll Niall was recognised as health and safety champion for reporting site observations. He also gained direct experience at Equans working on a number of large-scale district heating schemes and was involved with delivering a number of district heating connections to buildings across Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Niall was recognised at Equans, pioneering the application of ‘ice-pigging’ for cleaning district heating pipework; a flushing technique used to remove impurities and improve system efficiency.

At FairHeat, Niall leverages his extensive experience and broad skill set to manage and deliver efficient and sustainable heat network projects.
