Nnamdi Chude
Consulting Engineer
Nnamdi joined FairHeat in 2025 as a Consulting Engineer and has worked across the Building System Design (BSD) and Quality Assurance (QA) teams. In the BSD team, he adapted RIBA Stage 3 and 4 designs to overcome site-specific constraints and ensure compatibility with wider heat network infrastructure. More recently, within the QA team, he has worked directly with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure quality standards and project expectations are met throughout project delivery.
Nnamdi holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham. Alongside his academic studies, he maintained a strong interest in sustainability and clean energy through his involvement with Leaders in Energy, a global community focused on accelerating renewable energy and sustainable solutions.
Before joining FairHeat, Nnamdi worked within the SSE Heat Networks team, initially as a Graduate Engineer before progressing to Process Engineer. During this time, he developed extensive knowledge of the heat network sector, with a particular focus on early-stage district heating and decarbonisation projects. His experience spans projects across Great Britain, including leading design work for the Electric Transformer Heat Recovery Trial in Deeside and the Stoke-on-Trent City Heat Network.
Currently, at FairHeat, Nnamdi supports the delivery of high-quality heat network projects through design development, technical assurance, and stakeholder engagement. Drawing on his experience in both design and quality assurance, he works closely with project teams to ensure systems are practical, efficient, and aligned with client requirements, helping to deliver reliable low-carbon heat solutions that support the transition to net zero.
"Joining FairHeat was a chance to apply my experience at an entity that is very much 'heat' first, it represented a new career challenge to deliver a breadth of new solutions that I hadn't previously.Since joining, the technical excellence, commitment, and high engineering standards I witness and get to contribute to every day, give me great confidence in what we continue to deliver for our clients and the industry."
