Odirlan Medrado Soares
Senior Engineer
Odirlan joined FairHeat in 2025 as a Senior Engineer, bringing extensive experience in the design, assurance, and delivery of district heating systems. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Salvador University (Brazil) and has developed specialist expertise in underground district heating networks, with a strong focus on constructability and engineering quality.
His core technical strengths include feasibility assessments, route selection, detailed pipeline routing, clash detection, and multidisciplinary design coordination. He provides technical assurance across all design stages, supporting clients through design development, commissioning readiness, construction sequencing, and resolving design queries during delivery, including practical problem‑solving during construction to address buildability issues efficiently. He also contributes within FairHeat as a specialist advisor on underground heat network engineering and constructability.
Before joining FairHeat, Odirlan worked on major decarbonisation programmes, including the development of district heating networks across key urban regeneration areas. His responsibilities included detailed routing across multiple project stages and supporting the development of internal quality management systems and engineering documentation. His experience spans the full lifecycle of heat network delivery, from early‑stage feasibility through detailed design, and construction support, making him a valuable contributor to complex, multidisciplinary energy projects.
“I chose to join FairHeat because it offered the opportunity to work on complex, high‑impact heat network projects while deepening my expertise in assurance, commissioning, and system performance. Just as importantly, FairHeat provides a technically focused, collaborative environment where I can continue to grow and contribute to projects that deliver real improvements across the heat network sector.”
