Peter joined Fairheat in 2021 as a consulting engineer. He is currently a Head of Heat Network Compliance at FairHeat, specialising in heat network performance, optimisation, and quality assurance. He helps clients improve the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of heat networks across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
Peter’s expertise includes heat network commissioning, performance analysis, HIU testing, water quality management, and system optimisation. He has supported numerous clients in improving network performance, reducing operational issues, and preparing for emerging regulatory requirements. Peter is also an active contributor to the sector. He published and presented research on water quality monitoring at the CIBSE Technical Symposium 2022, helped develop draft TS1 water quality standards, and has supported the implementation of testing regimes to protect heat networks from corrosion and bacterial growth.
At FairHeat, Peter leads optimisation and assurance projects, supports industry best practice, and mentors engineering teams. He has also contributed to award-winning schemes, including the Windmill Park project, which won District Heating Project of the Year at the H&V News Awards 2023.
