Robin Thornton
Graduate Engineer
Robin joined FairHeat in September 2020. As a Graduate Engineer, he is developing his consulting skills in all areas of heat network performance and working towards chartership.
Whilst studying for a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Cambridge, Robin gained experience on placement at ExxonMobil. This involved investigating novel flare gas recovery options as part of plant optimization, with a view to reducing the environmental impact of the plant. He was offered a graduate position following a successful placement, but opted to join FairHeat as part of his personal challenge to tackle climate change.
Robin is excited to hone his skills in sustainable development through delivering adept solutions that benefit both clients and their residents.
"I wanted to join FairHeat to work in decarbonisation of the economy, making work itself personally rewarding. As part of the team at FairHeat, I've been able to work across a multitude of different projects, picking up technical and practical knowledge of the heat network industry."
