Sofian Chaibi

Graduate Project Manager

Sofian joined FairHeat in 2025 as a graduate engineer, having completed a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (with intercalated year) at the University of Warwick, graduating with a 2:1. His passion for sustainability and renewable energy grew during his academic studies and early career, where he gained hands-on experience in the design and implementation of innovative energy systems.

Before joining FairHeat, Sofian worked as a renewables design engineer, where he designed hundreds of renewable systems for domestic properties with the goal of reducing clients’ energy bills and carbon emissions. His contributions played a key role in the company being named Solar PV Installer of the Tear in 2023 in the Greater London region.

Alongside his design work, Sofian developed and implemented a comprehensive operations process that improved client journeys and reduced internal logistical challenges, cutting companywide overheads by 20%. He also holds a BPEC qualification in Modern System design for Heating and Renewables in Commercial and Domestic Buildings (HeatGeek), further strengthening his technical expertise.

Keen to move from domestic projects to larger-scale systems where he could have a greater impact on achieving Net Zero, Sofian joined FairHeat to gain exposure to complex heat network designs.

“I believe this is a field that will only continue to grow, and to be involved now means I can help shape a sustainable future. I want to make an impact on people’s everyday lives, and FairHeat, as industry leaders, offers the perfect environment to learn from innovative and talented colleagues. The graduate scheme provides the skills I need to thrive in this sector for decades to come.“
