Teoni Phelvin

Graduate Engineer

Teoni joined Fairheat in 2025 as a Graduate Engineer, following the completion of a MEng in Chemical Engineering at the University of Sheffield with First class Honours. As part of her studies, she conducted research in the low-carbon science field, focusing on the energy modelling of microalgae as a carbon sink within wastewater treatment processes. This work deepened her interest in sustainable energy systems, and she was particularly drawn to FairHeat due to its focus on pioneering the decarbonisation of heat in the UK.

Since joining the company, Teoni completed her first rotation in the District Heating Design Team, where she spent seven months supporting the energy and techno-economic modelling of large-scale heat networks. This experience provided her with a strong grounding in system design and performance analysis.

Now in her second rotation within the Compliance Team, Teoni is focused on optimising existing heat networks and supporting efforts to bring systems in line with emerging regulatory standards.

“My interest in low-carbon energy systems developed during my studies, and I was drawn to FairHeat because of its leading role in decarbonising heat in the UK. It’s exciting to be able to contribute to such a meaningful and evolving area of the energy transition."
