Senior Engineer
Tom joined Fairheat in 2025 as a Senior Engineer at,where he leads a team that focuses on analysing existing heat networks and identifying opportunities to enhance their operational efficiency. He holds a Master’s degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of Sheffield, graduating in 2020 with honours.
Before joining FairHeat, Tom built a strong background in process engineering, sustainability, and continuous improvement across multiple industries. As a Senior Process Engineer at Tate & Lyle Sugars, he led site-wide efficiency improvements to syrup production, managed capital projects, and played a key role in the company’s sustainability programme, developing a long-term decarbonisation roadmap. Prior to this, he worked at Pfizer as a Process Specialist, supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, and at Greencore as a Business Improvement Coordinator (BIC), driving process improvements in a highly regulated environment.
His experience also includes a placement year at BMW Group, where he worked on lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
